Controversy

There have been two main issues of contention in regards to the Minecraft Forums by the players, these being editor problems and censorship.

When Destroy the Godmodder and Destroy the Godmodder 2 was first created, the Minecraft Forum's editor was never thought of as malicious, even though several large bugs were present. Everyone was mostly happy with the way the forum was working out.

However, on July 1st 2014, the Minecraft Forum switched platforms, gained a new look, and a new editor. This editor broke many aspects of DTG2 and TwinBuilder shut down the thread for a few days until some of the multitude of bugs were fixed. Some of the bugs present haven't been fixed to this day.

More recently, in late March 2015, the editor changed again, bringing with it several new debilitating bugs and another pausing of the thread. Thankfully, this one was not as pronounced as the other change.

TwinBuilder tied both events into the story of the thread, with the first switch marking the End of Disc 1, and the second marking the End of Disc 2.

In regards to censorship, players reportedly were being punished for using curse words, even if they had censored them themselves with asterisks. This caused a stir in the community.
